Business executives are asking how they can get more from their data, turning information into insights that drive business outcomes. They want to see, predict and shape business outcomes and act with confidence with decisions made in real time. So why not deliver them a real-time business dashboard from their operational data direct to their smart devices? Using new capabilities in IBM DB2 Web Query it's easy to create real-time business analytics dashboards direct on your business data held on your IBM i database. It's also simple to leverage powerful reporting and graphing tools, improving the usability of traditional reports, while extending the value of reports by distributing them in Adobe PDF or in Microsoft Excel format.
Web Query recently has been greatly enhanced. We are excited to be offering a Hands on LUG Web Query activity. The activity will begin in October and is a great opportunity for group members to learn Web Query. The evening presentation will include an overview of what’s new in Web Query and will include an overview of the projects that will be worked on during the hands on activity. The activity will include a dash board application with drill down, mobile application and an iPad application. The Hands on activity will be kicked off at the October meeting.
Hands on participants will learn the basics of Web Query working remotely when schedules allow. After completing the basics participants will complete real live Web Query projects. Throughout the activity remote webinars will be scheduled to review completed work and provide an opportunity for open discussion including questions and answers. The big reveal of finished team projects will take place during the November meeting scheduled the last week in November (after Thanksgiving).
Web Query hands on will kick off with the October SEMIUG and WMSUG meetings on October 23rd and 24th and will end at meetings scheduled on November 27th and 28th. You will be able to join in onsite or remotely.
If you are interested in participating in the hands on activity please send an email to or . Please sign up for participation prior to the October meeting.
