Presentation: Recent additions to modern RPG languages

Over the past ten years RPG has transformed itself into a modern free form language. In recent the recent releases, 7.4 and 7.5, there have been additions there have been enhancements made that have passed many people by. Simon will demonstrate these features and explain why he thinks these are worth incorporating into your work

Simon’s experience with IBM midrange started over 30 years ago in the United Kingdom, in a pre-AS/400 world. Since immigrating to the USA, in 1992, he has worked mostly in the South West and is currently IT manager responsible for Power servers and IBM i for a large bank in Central Texas. Simon has been writing his acclaimed IBM i blog, RPGPGM.COM, for nine years sharing his knowledge, experience, and giving many detailed examples of the latest RPG, SQL, and CL. He was recognized by IBM as an IBM Champion for Power in 2021 and 2022, and is an IBM i Community Advocate.
