| Notes: | V6R1 Upgrade Gotchas (ZIPed PDF) |
IBM i 6.1 (dba I5/OS V6R1) brings many new things to our platform including its fourth ever name and its second numbering format. While the getting there isn't as difficult as some previous upgrades it's a couple ticks more difficult than recent uprades in the i5/OS family. If you are one of the many still running V5R4 or even V5R4 of i5/OS come learn what you need to do to plan a smooth upgrade to 6.1 Avoid mistakes others have made and get comfortable with what you'll encounter along the way. Bring your questions and we'll do our best to answer those as well.
